The Savannah Film Festival (SAVFF) has named ‘From the Sky’ as one of only 10 short films to screen In Competition as part of the ‘Pro Shorts’ category at the 18th annual event. This year’s gathering will feature high-profile film screenings, panels hosted by The Hollywood Reporter, and tributes for attending filmmakers including Olivia Wilde, Saoirse Ronan, and Meg Ryan. Previous festival honorees range from Alexander Payne to Roger Ebert and Sidney Lumet. SAVFF was named one of the ’50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee’ by MovieMaker Magazine in 2015, and will welcome more than 40,000 attendees.

‘From the Sky’ screens with the documentary ‘Containment’ on Tuesday, October 27th and again on the festival’s closing day- Saturday, October 31st. Ian and ‘From the Sky’ producer Jess Grant are scheduled to attend and participate in the post-screening Q&As. For tickets and more information, visit: Savannah Film Festival
