The Way We Speak is now streaming on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland, following the film’s European premiere in Great Britain last fall.
Ian’s feature debut went on to win Best International Feature at the 2025 Worcester International Film Festival and took home four awards at the 2026 Liverpool Film Festival: Film of the Festival, Best Feature, Best Director, and Best Actor for Patrick Fabian. The UK’s Film Focus Online describes The Way We Speak as “a smart, heartfelt… indie gem,” while the The Glacé Film Club calls it “a film for our times.”
