MovieMaker Top Fest Awards Ian and THE WAY WE SPEAK Lead Actor
Ian took home the First Time Director award at the 2025 Poppy Jasper International Film Festival (PJIFF)—while The Way We Speak Lead Actor Patrick Fabian won the festival’s prestigious Icon Award for his 30-year body of work. (Fabian’s Better Call Saul co-star Ed Begley Jr. was in attendance to receive an Icon Award of his own.)
On-hand with Ian for the film’s Central California premiere were The Way We Speak Director of Photography A.J. Marson (Iris), Editor Robert Schafer (Megalopolis), and Colorist Chris Martin (Fruitvale Station).
