Deadline has the exclusive premiere of the official trailer for The Way We Speak—Ian’s first feature as writer-director starring Patrick Fabian, Diana Coconubo, Kailey Rhodes, Ayanna Berkshire (Leave No Trace, Portlandia), Lowell Deo, Ricco DiStefano, and Reed Diamond (Moneyball, Good Night, and Good Luck).
Since the start of principal photography, Patrick and the other six Better Call Saul principal actors earned a 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination for their ensemble performance; the AMC series won a Peabody award and received five 2023 Emmy nominations; Ayanna starred with Daisy Ridley in Sometimes I Think About Dying which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival; and Ayanna’s other recent film New Life premiered at the 2023 Fantasia Film Festival.
