Ian’s 12th screenplay THE WAY WE SPEAK has advanced to the semifinal round of the 2019 BlueCat Screenplay Competition—frequently cited as one of the top five screenwriting contests. THE WAY WE SPEAK is one of 92 remaining feature screenplays out of 2,755 submissions, after it was recently named a quarterfinalist in the same competition. Ian’s latest screenplay is now in the running to be a BlueCat finalist—which will be announced April 30.
BlueCat Screenplay Competition was founded by Gordy Hoffman. Gordy is the writer of the Sundance Film Festival award winner LOVE LIZA (starring his brother Philip Seymour Hoffman), a member of the Writer’s Guild of America, and a screenwriting instructor at USC and UCLA.
