The Way We Speak was the winningest film at the 2026 Liverpool Film Festival (LIVIFF) in the UK, where it took home the prize for:
- Film of the Festival
- Best Feature Film
- Best Director—Ian Ebright
- Best Actor—Patrick Fabian
