Pinwheel Horizon joins the inaugural EmpowerHER Film Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa, where it will screen in August. The gold-ranked FilmFreeway gathering is a “captivating celebration of women’s voices and visions…from around the world.”
Pinwheel Horizon features award-winning work by women in key roles including Producer Kelly Campelia, Lead Actor Cassie Stires, Director of Photography Haley Watson, Production Designer Erin O. Kay, Costume Designer Meleta Buckstaff, and Hair and Makeup Artist Molly Vendettuoli.
It’s the 30th official selection for Ian’s third narrative short—and the first in Africa. After more than one year on the film festival circuit, Pinwheel Horizon will have screened on six continents.
