Ian’s multigenre original story Dame Boreal was named a quarterfinalist in the 2026 Outstanding Screenplays Feature Competition—with jury members including Director Michael Mann (Heat), Screenwriter Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver), and Producer Wendy Finerman (Forrest Gump). It’s the latest placement for Dame Boreal after ranking as a finalist at the 2025 Anchorage International Film Festival and a quarterfinalist at the 2026 BlueCat Screenplay Competition.
