The Twister Alley International Film Festival (TAIFF) recognized Ian’s writing with a nomination for Best Screenplay- Short Film, while ‘From the Sky’ also received a nomination for Best Drama- Short Film.
This marks Ian’s third nomination since the film debuted at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2014. The writer/director received Best Writing and Best Directing nominations from the 2014 Short Film Awards, while winning Best Screenplay at the 2014 Forum Film Festival in New York City and Most Promising Filmmaker at the 2015 Spokane International Film Festival. In total, ‘From the Sky’ has earned 12 awards, 7 nominations, and more than 25 invitations to domestic and international film festivals.
