Gravitas Ventures has acquired Ian’s debut feature The Way We Speak and will release the film July 23 through digital and video-on-demand platforms. Collider made the announcement with their exclusive premiere of the film’s official trailer.
Gravitas “is a leading all rights distributor of independent feature films and documentaries,” with recent releases including Padre Pio, The Pez Outlaw, and Our Friend. Gravitas Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Operations Bill Guentzler talked about the partnership. “After a stunning world premiere at the Florida Film Festival, Gravitas is excited to bring Ian Ebright’s The Way We Speak to audiences across the U.S. and Canada. Ebright directs a stellar performance from Patrick Fabian and a supporting cast including Diana Coconubo and Kailey Rhodes—with a tight-knit script where every word has impact,” Guentzler said. “We believe audiences will come away with a new appreciation connecting motives, actions, and speech after viewing this brilliant film.”
