FROM THE SKY—Ian’s Arabic-language narrative short film about a father and son trying to avoid the war on terror in the Middle East—is one of 10 films in consideration to win the award for Best Short Film Under 30 Minutes at the 2019 Damah International Film Festival. The film will be watched and weighed by a jury of Oscar- and award-winning producers including Gerald R. Molen (Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park), Gray Frederickson (The Godfather: Part II, Apocalypse Now), Howard Kazanjian (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Return of the Jedi), Kanjiro Sakura (Inception), and Ralph Winter (The X-Men series).
