Transatlantic Duo to Score Ian’s First Feature
Billow Observatory—the ambient/electronic musicians consisting of Denmark’s Jonas Munk and Detroit’s Jason Kolb—will compose the music for The Way We Speak. Jason and Jonas previously collaborated with Ian on his newly released narrative short Pinwheel Horizon. The Independent Critic called their score for Pinwheel Horizon “sublime.”
Billow Observatory continues to garner attention and acclaim. Complex Distractions described their music as a “gorgeous, slow-moving art form;” their latest LP Stareside and latest EP Calque landed on Bandcamp’s Best Ambient Lists of 2022 and 2023, respectively.
