Award-winning filmmaker, playwright, and professor Vilsoni Hereniko has been incorporating Ian’s debut as writer/director FROM THE SKY into lectures at USC and the University of Hawaii’s Academy for Creative Media. The film is being used as a teaching aid to demonstrate “simple symbolism and how to craft and punctuate themes with it, [and] how straightforward storytelling can be profoundly impactful and emotional in a small amount of time.”
